Studio Policies

Please review all this information. It is important that we provide the best classroom environment possible for our dancers and that they understand the expectations of the studio.

St. Augustine Ballet is a Peanut Free environment.

School Etiquette and Rules

  • The studio staff reserves the right to remove any student from class or dismiss a student from the school because of disruptive behavior by the student and/or family members while at Saint Augustine Ballet's studio.

  • Students must treat each other with respect.

  • If the student is going to miss class they must notify the school in advance.

  • Siblings of students are not to be left in the studio unsupervised at any time.

  • No talking during class.

  • Students may not leave class without permission from the instructor.

  • All students must arrive at class on time. If they are late they must wait for the instructor’s permission to enter the class.

  • No gum, candy, peanuts. or peanut products.

  • No food or beverages are allowed in the studios.

  • All students must follow the Dress Code or they will not be allowed in class.

  • All cell phones must be turned off before entering the classroom.

  • No one is allowed in classrooms without permission from the teacher.

  • There will be no hanging, playing, sitting, or climbing on barres, tumbling equipment, or any other equipment.

Student Placement

The Director will determine the student’s class placement based on age and skill level. As a default, all classes are determined first by age in DanceStudioPro when you sign up for a class.

Continuous Enrollment

  • Registration is open year-round.

  • SAB runs on a two-semester session schedule from August to December and January to May.

  • Commitment is expected through the end of the session.

Payments and Tuition

  • The annual registration fee is $25 per student and is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable until Aug. 15th and then it goes up to $30. The family max is $45 until Aug. 15th and then it goes to $55.

  • Class Leotards are required dress and are available on the parent portal in DanceStudio-Pro's online store. See the dress code for the class-level color. Extra Leo's, skirts, and jackets can also be purchased here.

  • Class Gala fees are collected in Feb. and are non-refundable. 

  • Automatic tuition payments will be deducted from your account on the first of each month through Visa, Master Card, or Bank Draft through Dance Studio-Pro.

  • $30 fee for late payments after 15 days.

  • Delinquent accounts will result in suspended enrollment.

  • Tuition rates will be prorated when students register for classes for a term that is already underway.

  • No refunds are given on classes missed due to inclement weather or emergency closings of the school.

  • Tuition is not pro-rated for missed classes or holidays.

  • Full class tuition is due each month regardless of class attendance.

  • Monthly fees remain the same despite fewer classes (holidays) or more classes (5-week months). 

  • If tuition is not received the child will be dropped from the class and re-registration will be required upon returning, pending class availability.

  • A student withdrawing from the school must have a parent/guardian come into the office to give a 30- day notice by filling out an official withdrawal form. Otherwise, a student must pay full tuition through the end of the school year.

Outside Training

The curriculum for St. Augustine Ballet students is demanding and thorough. Students placed in these levels with the desire to take a class and/or perform with other ballet schools or companies must speak to the Director and receive permission to do so in advance.

06.

Lost and Found

St. Augustine Ballet is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
